Puros® Block Allograft

A Clinically Proven Documented Solution for Restoring Volume to Severly Resorbed Ridges.1,3

Clinical Advantages of Puros Block Allografts:

  • Outcomes1,3 have been comparable to those generally reported for autogenous block grafting, but without the need for a second surgery to harvest native bone4,6
  • Clinical reports have documented the ability to stabilize implants 5-6 months after grafting1,3

Puros Allograft Block Benefits

Changing the Concept of Block Grafting

1. Documented Successful Bone Regeneration

  • Documented graft and implant success rates1,3 make it a viable alternative to autogenous block grafting.4,5
  • Cortico-Cancellous structure retains the remodeling capabilities of cancellous bone with the strength advantages of cortical bone needed for dimensional ridge augmentation.1,3

2. Time-Saving

  • Saves time, helps to reduce pain, and can shorten the patient’s rehabilitation period by eliminating the need to harvest an autogenous graft.

Puros Allograft Block Unique Tutoplast Process

In 1969 the Tutoplast Tissue Sterilization Process was developed to sterilize and preserve tissue for implantation. More than 11 million implants have been sterilized through the Tutoplast Process with zero confirmed incidence of implant-associated infection.17

The Benefits of the Multi-Step Tutoplast Process

For allograft bone grafts, the process preserves the valuable bone mineral, collagen matrix, and tissue integrity 18 while inactivating pathogens and gently removing unwanted materials, such as cells, antigens, and viruses 17 – resulting in predictable, reliable, sterile, and safe tissue.17

A labeled, illustrated diagram showing the five stages of the proprietary Tutoplast® Process used to sterilize Puros® allografts: 1) Alkaline Treatment, 2) Osmotic Treatment, 3) Oxidative Treatment, 4) Solvent Treatment, and 5) Irradiation. Each stage is depicted with a visual cross-section of tissue undergoing the respective sterilization step. The image highlights the science-backed, multi-phase purification process behind ZimVie's trusted tissue solutions.
